For the most part, I’d consider myself a girly-girl. I like to dress up, wear makeup, paint my nails, etc. However, spending a lot of time and money on makeup has just never been my thing. I usually find something from the drugstore or Ulta that is reasonably priced and stick with it.
In college, I had a roommate who adored makeup. Amber loved to go to Sephora and get samples, have them color-match her, and so on and so forth. One time she made me go with her and get color swatched by one of their professionals in black…I was slightly shocked by what a difference it made. For the first time in my life, I spent more than $12 on foundation (gasp!).
Although I’m still pretty modest in terms of spending my time on looking at and testing out makeup, I’m also way more open to spending my money on a quality product. Since Amber and I no longer live together, I unfortunately lost easy-access to her reviews and knowledge about which products are “totally worth it.”
So, when I came across the Review.com article called, The Best Foundation, I just had to take a peak…and I’m so glad I did! It was like 20 Ambers reviewing hundreds of foundations so that I didn’t have to! They spent 40 hours researching 364 formulas and narrowed “the best foundation” down to two options.
Go ahead and view the article yourself for a full breakdown of their top picks. Bonus: they also include reviews on four more foundations that were close contenders (and still worth considering), but simply didn’t make the final cut.
Enjoy, and thanks Reviews.com!
